For this batch, the fruit was sourced from the Wallcliffe sub region of Margaret River. 2018 brought very good red growing conditions in Margaret River, allowing Bordeaux varieties to fully express their potential and be picked in April 2018.
The fruit was then delicately destemmed and fermented in open- top temperature controlled oak vats where skin maceration was extended for 60 days. The wine was pressed to barrels matured in French and Hungarian oak for a period of 20 months. Each barrel was selected for our blend and the batch was lightly filtered before bottling.
